In The Darkness I Meet You

In the darkness I meet you,
Whose face my fingers outlined
More times than numbers can count,
You who are closer to me
Than the warmth of my own blood.
In the darkness I meet you
And your name becomes the breath
Sustaining my life,
Whose flesh is mine live
As water in the ground.
In the darkness I meet you
And when the dawn comes
My poem rises like a bird
Flying across infinite oceans
In search of your sky,
In search of you whose presence
Is the morning of my life.
